Lectora® Fundamentals

Learn the basics of Lectora, including an introduction to many of the menus within the application and the various object properties.

In this class, build an eLearning course from scratch consisting of chapters, sections, pages, and a graded test. Include a variety of media within your title to engage learners and learn how to create basic actions (such as rollovers), navigation, customized buttons, and various question types. You will also learn how to publish a title to ReviewLink, a free online review tool, and to HTML for access via the web.

Lectora® Intermediate

This class goes above and beyond the basic uses of Lectora, focusing primarily on the use of variables and conditional actions within a title.

Learn how to take your Lectora knowledge to the next level. Use variables to track user interactivity, display both generic and user information, and conditionally branch within a title.

Finally, you’ll learn how to publish a title to AICC/SCORM, for use within a learning management system.

(Before taking this course, you should be comfortable with creating a course structure, adding content to a title, creating buttons, and have an overall understanding of Lectora’s book metaphor, inheritance, and modes. These concepts are covered in the Lectora Fundamentals training.)

Lectora® Advanced

This class focuses on the advanced use of objects, variables, and action groups to create sophisticated learning experiences with Lectora. Learn how to add innovative functionality to your existing Lectora skill set. This includes both user-defined and random-value variables to create complex sequences needed for gaming logic and novel combinations of tests and questions. Through these hands-on exercises, you will experience best practices that apply to real projects right away.

Before taking this course, you should be comfortable with using variables to track user interactivity and displaying generic information within a title. These concepts are covered in the Lectora Intermediate training.

Lectora® Accessibility (Section 508)

Accessible eLearning is not only important to government agencies, it is becoming a vital aspect of a well-rounded diversity strategy for corporations and educational institutions. In addition to Section 508 compliance as mandated by the US government, this class also covers the WCAG standards for web content accessibility that meets the needs of individuals, organizations, and governments internationally.

In this class, you will learn about the standards, how they relate to each other, and how they relate to your accessibility strategy. You will also leverage the Lectora features and best practices to design, develop, and test your eLearning courses for compliance. The goal is to produce accessible courses that are robust, interactive, and media-rich.
